Overview
Aerial Insights LLC is expanding our drone services to include vegetation analytics and monitoring using advanced imaging techniques.
These services are designed to support planning, documentation, and follow-up inspections by highlighting vegetation patterns and changes that are not always visible in standard aerial imagery.
Our approach is conservative, defensible, and practical — focused on supporting real-world decisions without overpromising results.
What Vegetation Analytics Is — and Isn’t
Vegetation analytics uses drone imagery and reflectance data to show relative vegetation condition and change across a site.
It helps answer questions like:
Where is vegetation present, stressed, or absent?
How is vegetation changing over time?
Which areas may warrant closer inspection?
It does not:
Diagnose plant disease
Determine root causes
Replace on-site inspections or professional assessments
🌿 Vegetation Condition Snapshot
What It Is
A fast, objective snapshot of current vegetation condition across a site using high-resolution drone imagery combined with a vegetation index layer.
Common Uses
Site planning & documentation
Facility and grounds oversight
Construction and development sites
Establishing a baseline record
What’s Included
RGB orthomosaic map
One vegetation index layer (NDVI or NDRE)
Color-coded condition zones
Brief written interpretation
🚧 Service rollout in progress
🌱 Vegetation Change Monitoring
What It Is
A monitoring-focused service that tracks how vegetation changes over time, rather than analyzing a single moment.
This service is well-suited for projects that require repeatable documentation.
Common Uses
Land restoration tracking
Permit or environmental documentation
Utility and right-of-way monitoring
Long-term site oversight
What’s Included
Baseline imagery and vegetation index
Repeat flights (monthly or quarterly)
Change comparison maps
Simple trend summary
⚠️ Vegetation Risk Screening
What It Is
A screening-level analysis to help identify areas where vegetation conditions may warrant follow-up inspection or maintenance.
This service supports prioritization — not prediction.
Common Uses
Solar site vegetation oversight
Industrial facility grounds monitoring
Utility and corridor management
Maintenance planning support
What’s Included
RGB orthomosaic
Vegetation density overview
Condition indicator layer
Flagged “watch areas” map
🚧 Designed as an add-on service
🗺️ Site Documentation + Analytics Bundle
What It Is
A premium mapping bundle that combines survey-grade site documentation with basic vegetation analytics for additional context.
Vegetation data is included as supporting information, not standalone conclusions.
Common Uses
Development & planning documentation
Engineering reference imagery
Industrial and infrastructure projects
Environmental context reporting
What’s Included
RTK-enabled RGB orthomosaic
Elevation model (where applicable)
One vegetation index layer
Interpretation notes
🚧 Premium bundle launching soon
