Measure Material Without Walking Every Pile
Traditional stockpile measurement can be time-consuming and difficult around steep, unstable, or active material areas. Aerial mapping captures the visible surface of the stockpile from above and around its perimeter, allowing the resulting 3D surface to be measured digitally.
The same workflow can be repeated throughout the year, providing both individual volume measurements and a historical record of changing material inventory.

From Aerial Capture to Material Quantity

Why the Base Surface Matters
A stockpile volume is calculated between the visible surface of the material and an estimated or defined base surface beneath the pile. Selecting the correct base is therefore an important part of the measurement workflow.
Depending on site conditions, the base may be represented by surrounding terrain, a defined plane, previously captured ground conditions, or another appropriate surface model.
